Project overview

This project involved producing a campaign video featuring Griff Rhys Jones at the site of a proposed busway development in Cambridgeshire. The aim of the film was to highlight the potential environmental impact of the project by placing Gryff within the natural landscape itself, using the beauty of the surrounding countryside to reinforce what could be lost through development. Griff Rhys Jones has publicly supported campaigns opposing busway developments through environmentally sensitive areas around Cambridge.

project process

The production adopted a simple and natural documentary style, relying primarily on available light and careful composition to keep the focus on both the message and the environment. By allowing the location to become part of the storytelling, the final film delivered a subtle but powerful visual statement, demonstrating how effective filmmaking can communicate environmental issues through atmosphere, framing, and authenticity rather than large-scale production techniques.
